Okay, seriously…where have the past 12 months gone? It seems only yesterday we were eagerly awaiting Flynn’s release date, squishing those pesky new release bugs and nervously watching out for those first few Steam reviews. Despite such fond memories of 2021, we wanted to look back on 2022; a very different year for us, but an exciting one for the team all the same.
Physical copies of Flynn!
Ahh, we remember it well. Back in March, we could finally announce that we teamed up with the awesome folks at Super Rare Games for a limited physical release for Nintendo Switch. There’s nothing quite like holding an ACTUAL physical copy of a game you’ve worked on for so long. What blew our minds even more was that all 4,000 of them sold out in under an hour!
The Official Flynn: Son of Crimson Art Book
Our art book for Flynn was included in a Kickstarter tier for backers, but we soon released the remaining copies to non-backers too! We’re still super impressed by how they turned out and many of them are now in their new homes. HOWEVER, if you missed it, we still have limited stock available here. Take a look!
New Concept Artist!
We’ll admit, something has been cooking at Thunderhorse HQ this year and we put out a call for a new concept artist! We had quite literally hundreds of applicants, and after looking through a never ending pile of portfolios, we found the one. We’ll share more in 2023!
EGX!
We headed to our first ever Thunderhorse event, EGX at the ExCeL, London! Not only was it great to get part of the team together for the first time, but we saw so many new and upcoming titles from fellow developers and met lots of Twitter friends! This was only a leisurely trip, but who knows, maybe we’ll be exhibiting one of these days…
One year of Flynn
Again, time flies! We celebrated one whole year of Flynn’s release and had a whole week of Flynnversary fun over on social media. So many of you streamed the game and recommended it to your friends, we had a big ol’ giveaway and even commissioned some incredible Flynn anniversary artwork. We’ll be forever thankful to everyone for supporting the game and celebrating with us!
